Description: This is the most complete collection of Arthropod that occur in the Azores. It includes four main collections: A) a dry collection of beetle species; B) a collection of spider species in preserved ethanol; C) a collection of Hymenoptera preserved in ethanol; D) a reference collection of all arthropods collected during the Project BALA - specimens collected in seven islands from 1999 to 2020; E) a reference collection of the arthropods collected during the SLAM project (2012-2024).
It is currently the largest and most comprehensive scientific collection of Azorean biodiversity. It includes at least 40 Holotypes of arthropods.
