I am Biologist. Lecturer and government reseracher in Brazil , Head of a Post-Graduate Programme in Ecology of Tropical Biome, in the Federal University of Ouro PReto, Minas Gerais, Brazil. I did my undergraduate and Masters in Brazil, and my Ph.D. in Ecology at Imperial College, UK.

I am expert in Canopy Ecology and insect-plant interaction. I also work with restoration ecology and development of monitoring protocol for both protected and disturbed ecosystems. My interest is in general aspects of Evolutionary Ecology: host-pathogen relationships, population ecology, ecosystem-atmosphere interactions, ant competition and forest mosaics, oceanic island evolution and ecology.
